Meet ONE of the requirements of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur:
• Hold a High School Diploma (HSD) or the equivalent (AENS or GED); or
• Hold the units of 4th secondary in French, English and Mathematics; or
• Hold the functional prerequisites, either passing the general development test (GDT); or
• Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) with the same category of secondary 4 prerequisites; or
• Hold a Comparative evaluation for studies done outside Quebec; or
• Have successfully completed equivalent studies outside Canada and hold original diplomas and transcripts.
Comply with the requirements of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ):
• Have 36 months of experience as a holder of a Class 5 driver’s licence (or 24 month or the PEACVL);
• Have no more than 3 demerit points on your driving record;
• Have a driver’s license that has not been suspended or revoked in the last 2 years;
• Provide proof of acceptance of medical and visual tests authorizing you to obtain class 1.
Demonstrate an understanding of the language of instruction.

This program is designed to make the graduate an efficient truck driver upon his entry on the labour market. It also teaches the mastery of economical driving methods and the respect of preventive driving rules, the acquisition of basic driving techniques as well as the necessary knowledge and skills in vehicle maintenance and travel planning.
The student will learn a method for resolving problems applicable to issues relating to the legislation. He will be able to develop his sense of responsibility and his professional conscience, his ability to manage his time and to cope with unforeseen circumstances, and his concern to project a positive image of the company.
During the training, a fleet of equipement consisting of over 250 units of different makes and models of trucks and trailers is put at the disposal of the students.
Professional truck drivers transport goods or materials on urban, intercity, provincial and international roads. Their duties require them to drive trucks of all types (dump trucks, crane trucks, semi-trailers, etc.) or vehicle combinations weighing between 15,000 and 55,000 kilograms, with three or more axles.
